Add colored glass to a small project base using
the mosaic technique. Mosaics can be added to
almost any surface to make it more beautiful!
-Teaches how to glue and grout glass onto a
small project base of your choice.
-Prefer student provides their own bases on
which to mosaic. If you cannot, cement pavers will
be provided for you. Complete as many projects as
you wish during the class time.
-Examples of small project bases include:
window pane in wooden frame, glass blocks, cement
stepping stone / paver, or ceramic flower pot.
Your choice must be 20" or less in size.
-Scrap glass piece and other options like
ceramic tiles, seashells, and glass pebbles are
provided. You can bring your own items to include
like broken dishes. Glass cutting skills are
requested but not required.
-All materials provided are included in the
fee and for in studio use only. The only items you
will take home are your finished mosaic projects.
-Outdoor mosaic projects require a liquid
grout sealant to be applied thirty days after
project completion. Another grout sealant option
is epoxy resin. Sealing grout on inside projects
depends on their location.
